Yeah. He lives in North Carolina and does a bunch of collaboration with a shop in Roanoke, VA. I have all of his SBC books; they're very informative, although one curiosity is that he likes symmetrical duration cams. He also recommends very tight LSAs (although he also says that higher compression ratios need greater LSA). Random data point - late in WW2, the Germans were experimenting with variable valve timing on their direct injection aircraft engines and found major power increases with higher overlap.
I definitely learn something every time I watch one of these videos.
