We really need to thin the herd. This was my wife's DD until we got the Tahoe, and now it sorta sits in the shop mostly unused. I'd like to find it a happy home.

It's a 1995 9C1 Caprice. It has nearly 200K of mostly-trouble-free miles (It's been quite dependable all these miles and years, considering it's age). It's a typical white Caprice with the usual blue cop interior. The interior could use a bit of a cleaning, and that will happen when the weather gets a little nicer, but as it sits, it's not too bad.

It's a true ex-police car, having served in the Pasadena, Texas, Police Department when new. Unlike the Houston PD cars, the Pasadena PD used LT1s. The car runs great. We just don't use it any more.

Here are the specs:

The good:
Recent total repaint (about 2 years old, but it's not been used much at all since then)
New water pump
New plugs and wires
New opti cable (we installed a new opti and cable, but the new opti started causing troubles soon after it was installed, so we replaced it with the old one which has not given us any trouble. I was already in there doing plugs and wires, so figured I'd just do the opti. It was a new GM unit, so not sure what failed there).
New seals on the rear steam tube (the rear steam tube started leaking, so I got a new one for a Vette LT1, which is totally and completely different (who knew?). I ended up just using the new seals that came with the steam tube, and it's held up well).
Recent fuel pressure regulator.
RaceTronix fuel pump and wiring harness. The relay has been taken out of the circuit because the relay started failing. It has the larger-gauge wiring from the kit from the alternator to the pump, though.
17" Impala SS look-alike wheels
Goodyear 255-50/17 F1 tires. They're getting to the point where they'll need to be replaced.
Tahoe center console.
Cold A/C
Factory am-fm stereo
The 'ticket light' works.

The bad:
Well, it has 199,000 miles on it, but the drivetrain runs fine.
It could probably use some new front end bushings. The car will come with Del-A-Lume lower control arm bushings for the 9C1 LCA, but they're not installed. I did the tie-rods, center link and idler arm when we first bought the car several years ago, just never got around to the A-arm bushings.
Single-track diff, but the car will come with a Torsen carrier that we got when we bought the car.
Some of the paint on the console could use touching up, but it doesn't hurt the functionality of it any.
The dash sometimes comes on a little dim. Usually a key-off restart will power it back up. Common issue with 94-95 B-body cars.
The front windows don't roll down well. I think it's in the motors, as the switches work fine. The car will come with spare used window motors.
Temp gauge does not seem to want to work. I think it's in the gauge, as I have replaced the _correct_ temperature sensor, twice, already.
The front panels that go under the front bumper cover are missing. They were missing when we bought the car. I suspect they went AWOL sometime during the car's service life.
The dash pad has a crack, which is pretty common on these cars. It's covered with a dash mat, though.

I'd like $2500 for the car, OBO. I'd get in it and drive it across country today, it's that solid a car.
I might even throw in a set of F-body front and HA rear sway bars (found a guy who had a stash of them a few years ago), if the price is right.

Here are a few pictures of the car as it sits:

The car is on the trailer, because we're working on the Firebird, and are frankly out of space in the shop. So I put it on the trailer for now.

The white you see along the front edge of the seat is a sunscreen for the front windshield, not a tear in the upholstery. The upholstery in the car is fine.

I can provide more pictures if there's any interest. Thanks for looking.

I finally got some shop time, and an opportunity to clean our personal effects from the car. I started it and discovered that the A/C wasn't it's usual awesomely-cold self. I figured that since the car had been sitting maybe it needed to be topped off. I hooked the gauges to it, and started to add some freon. The compressor is getting noisy. Not sure how long it will last. I stopped charging the A/C, and will lower the price we want for the car, since I really do NOT feel like replacing a compressor.

Now, $1500 OBO.

Sold!! As sad as it was to see leaving, and it really was, it's nice that it is going to a new owner who likes B-body cars. It's on it's way to St. Louis, it's new home, as I type.

Thanks, Kent!! It was a pleasure meeting you.
