1996 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 (Project Car)
White exterior / Blue interior
VIN: 1G1BL52P4TR138463
105,976 miles

Up for sale is my 1996 Caprice 9C1 project car. I was previously working on turning this into a drag car, but never completed it. It has been sitting in a garage for the past 8 years. It would make an excellent LS swap candidate for someone with the time and interest.

The car is currently located in Windsor, Ontario. I purchased it in Michigan in 2008 and brought it back to Canada planning to import and title it. I completed all steps of the importation, except for the Ontario DriveClean emissions test and Ontario title. I have all the paperwork related to the importation process. The car currently still has the Michigan title from when I purchased it.

Back in 2008, I pulled the body off the frame and had the frame sandblasted. I POR-15'd the full frame and underside of the body. I put it all back together, changing and upgrading almost every part along the way (see modifications list below).

The exterior and interior of the car are in overall solid condition. The underside of the body has started to develop some surface rust again as a result of sitting. Nothing serious, but it could use another application of POR-15. The frame still looks good, since it had been sandblasted prior to coating.

The car currently has a stock LT1 engine in it. It won't start at the moment, but could be started with a new battery and some fresh fuel. The stock motor was re-installed for the purpose of passing the Ontario emissions test. I never got the opportunity to follow through with this. The car was previously running with this motor and I had it to the drag strip to prove up the rest of the drivetrain and chassis modifications.

As for a price, I really have no idea what it's worth in its current state. All offers will be considered.

Good luck with the sale. I’d be interested in the widened N97 rims if you wish to sell them separately.
