My transmission has erratic shifting and sometimes shifts hard. It takes off from a dead stop with no issues. The erratic shifting and hard shifting happens at different speeds 30 40 and 60. RPMs fluctuates from 1500 to 2,500 with barely touching the gas. I take my foot off the gas let it idle down and it eventually shift into gear. Also at times the RPMs don't fluctuate but the odometer does. I've been told that it's the vehicle speed sensor. When I looked into that it's supposed to be a sensor that is on the passenger side front right above the CV shaft. Jacked it up took the tire off and no sensor. I searched common problems for transmissions for Chevy Impalas. What I found was it could be the transmission pressure control solenoid I know there's two of them. I'm wondering if that is the problem. If it is the solenoids do I replace both or one of them. If only one needs to be replaced which one the back or the front. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance
