I just checked, 18 hours of drive time. I'll certainly consider jumping on board BK. I'll send you a text later.

I drove two years from Abita Springs, LA ( I drove to get my dad) to Detroit for Nationals. Not that bad of a ride. I had 500 miles from Plano to Abita Springs, and then 1,100 miles to Detroit.

Although i am always scared that I will break something while at the event. Carr carrier would be the way to get there.

I would need to know how soon to have the car in NY and how soon the car would be back to make arrangements to stay in that area.

Is transporter one way an option If Marge flew in on the weekend and we wanted to drive home ?

The driver would like to leave Friday night (7/22) from the NY area that way he's there by Monday with plenty of room for delays. He will stay there all week and hang with us and then leave Saturday night (or Sunday morning) to head home after the car show. I'm sure he will hustle getting home and we may have the cars back Monday. He can also drop cars along the way as he heads north.

Just got the tank back, and it has been totally cleaned! New sender/pump assembly arrives tomorrow. Hope to have a running car by the end of the week, and planning for new paint real soon. Looking at the previously posted pics, I can't show up to a NATS event with an "Earl Scheib" paint job! LOL

LOL... I'm sure, but the event is in my hometown. I can't show with chipped paint, and faded base coats! No worries. It'll be better than it is now.

My '96 SS still needs some 'sorting out'; but the H/C LS3 swap in my '95 SS is complete, short of some minor work to get the tach/speed-o to read properly.

Initial numbers.....449 HP and 396 Tq at the wheels.

Well, took time yesterday evening, and confirmed that the red one is NOT a true SS. It's an "18" series, which (by short research) is noted as an "Impala 1800 V8". Either way, car is in good shape, and gonna get an LS-based engine.
