ISSCA Members,

We are happy to announce that the 2018 ISSCA Nationals Registration page is now open! Please click here: https://issca.org/2018-nationals-ohio/

Even with increasing costs we were able to keep pricing virtually the same as last year. Most pertinent and important info is either here or on the ISSCA site when you click the link.

More info coming soon but we wanted to get registration open as soon as possible. The dates are June 26th to June 30th and mid-Ohio is never going to know what hit them. Once again we will be at world class venues to run our beaSSts and the car show will be at the location where they shot many scenes from Shawshank Redemption. It will be another great ISSCA Nats for sure!

Please get your registrations done sooner than later as it helps us to budget and order the event shirts and work with the venues and caterers. We are also trying to get Bryan Herter down with a portable dyno so please let us know if you have an interest in a dyno tune.

Finally, occasionally a member has an issue with the website regarding registration. Because of this we have setup the registration form to open in a new window on the site that handles the registration data, so don't be alarmed when you see that!

Thanks again and looking forward to seeing everyone in, gulp, a mere 2 ½ months. Can that be right?

How do I register if I do not have PayPal?
In case you didn't see my reply to this in the Misc section:

That's an interesting question. My vote would be to either fill out the form and print it out from your browser, or type out an itemized list of your registration, and mail that and a check / money order (payable to ISSCA) to:

I had a good time. First time I've made it to Nationals since 2006. Note to self: Make sure I'm far away from Bobo's table in the future. :D
I find it mind boggling that the Impala nationals have been over for a week and this is all we get about them??????? Where are the reports? Where are the drunken stories? Where are the pictures? (And PLEASE don't tell me to go to Facebook or he11)

Posting photos here has turned into a real hassle compared to facebook where hundreds of photos have been shared already.

I have all of my photos off the SD cards and separated by event, but am now going through them to find the best ones to post. As Tom said, they'll just be uploaded to Facebook for simplicity but I'll be sure to share the albums here. (EDIT: My iMac has hardware problems and crashes sometimes every few minutes, which is making the culling process take forever and make me want to throw the machine out the window.)

This was only my fourth Nationals since I started attending in 2000. To me the family aspect of the event was very strong this year. Crovo started it off by smashing the Marshmallow, and so many people helped un-smash it to the point that he could not only drive it but participate in ALL of the events of the week. The camera crew Izzi brought along brought out so many stories and history of the club and events. Seeing Jamey Gross's car that he's building in the fashion his dad Jim would've built it, and hearing the very moving award presentation his mom Teresa gave, were both really touching. Hunter choosing to forego some of a Florida Keys vacation with the rest of the Gersch family to hang out with Dan and the rest of us clowns for a week and race his car in all of the events was too cool.

I was mostly looking forward to seeing old friends again and meeting some new ones. Mission accomplished!

The tour of the Ohio State Reformatory was a lot of fun as well. I learned that apparently some groups saw different parts of the prison so if we're ever back there again I might take multiple tours to see as much of it as possible. Or just walk around on my own and hopefully not get lost.

2018 ISSCA Nationals – Ohio, was absolutely a blast for our whole family! We thoroughly enjoyed it and so did our children. It was truly family fun. Everyone made us feel at home (I mean everyone). A special thanks to Chad, Bill, Terry, Izzie, and the whole “Gang” including Bo-Bo. You see, it was the Impala SS National Event 1999 or 1998 - Impalapalooza on the Green II or I (Bowling Green, KY) the last time and place we attended such event. We still own that same ‘96 Impala SS that we ordered in July ‘96 from Fletcher Jones Chevrolet in Las Vegas, NV (even though we lived in CA at the time) and took delivery in September ’96. See you in Pittsburg next summer, you can take that to the Bank!!!! ?

PS Our Dash Plaque has 1998.

Road Racing at Mid-Ohio: I don't have many photos here because most of the fun will be driver's POV videos.

A little bit from my tour of the Ohio State Reformatory (Shawshank). I only had my 50mm prime instead of the 18-55 zoom so photos up-close weren't quite possible:

hmm, strange. Are you in the ISSCA Facebook group?

https://www.facebook.com/groups/147449445284090/

I thought all the posts were public but perhaps it still requires you to join the group. I'll check on the links and edit if I find anything wrong.

Even if they are public people like myself who are blocked on their work computer from Facebook can not access any pictures that are posted on Facebook!
