As Clear Image Automotive always does, we will offer superior quality, material and workmanship.

This project has been on the back burner but since our TRI-Y headers have been copied and are now being offered in a stainless steel, we are making this a priority.

409 stainless steel is mostly carbon steel and will rust. It is inferior to aircraft quality 304 stainless.

Our TRI-Y headers will be made of 304 stainless, from the flange to the collector. Our Tig welds are made by the best welders in the entire North West as they specialize in stainless steel, aluminum and titanium.

We will continue to shine when it comes to
quality, finish work, welding and material.

Up-dates coming soon.

Dan,

From looking at the picture in this thread and the pictures of the new tri-y design, the 304SS is using the new design. </font>[/QUOTE]?? I can see that the passengers side is definatly the old design... And I would assume the drivers is too... As I'm pretty sure the new drivers will be alot longer.

Until we can get the "new TRI-Y headers" in production and set a price I can't even attempt at guessing the price of the 304 stainless. Yes, I have already thought about it and will offer the new design in stainless.

As far as the new drivers side being a lot longer, not by more than an inch at most. remember, the driver side is the tight side. Right now there is barely enough room to get a cat converter between the header and stock exhaust. With the converters we use there is a little more room to work with. The plans for the drivers side header do not include a complete re-design as the header is already very straight forward. About the only change we plan is to get rid of the gas weld in the middle of the 2nd primary tube.

Anyways, we are several weeks away from production of the new design. And stainless is even furhter out.

Once we get moved and settled in we will be on this.

Thanks again guys.

EDIT

Never mind, we started the new driver side TRI-Y from scratch. With the hood open both sides will look symmetrical in design.

More up-dates in the other thread later.

Could the polished headers be sprayed with clear coat VHT paint ? Would it hold/keep em from discolouring ??

Kudos Dan, I love the headers. I'll be ordering soon.
