Just received another CEL pertaining to a shift solenoid.
I had the exact same thing last year (different solenoid).
So while I am prepping to do my TransGo HD Shift Kit, I decided to replace all the electroniccs on the valve body.
This can be found in a Master Solenoid Kit.
However, the ones I was finding, were a mix/match of different manufacturers parts.
I wanted all GM/ACDelco parts.
I ended up having to source each part individually.
They are as follows:
1-2 & 3-4 (A-B) Shift Solenoids: ACDelco #24230298
Electronic Pressure Control (EPC)/Force Motor Solenoid: ACDelco #24227747
3-2 Downshift Solenoid: ACDelco #24212327
TCC Lock Up Solenoid Wire Harness & TCC/PWM Solenoid: GM #12143279
Pressure Manifold Switch: GM #24219581
These all came to about $150, give or take a little.
Thought I would post this up in case anyone else was considering this.
With our parts being 20+ years old, and the fact I have now had 2 solenoids fail in 2 years - its probably a good idea to just replace it all at once, and have peace of mind that genuine GM parts are being used. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the time to replace the solenoid last year, I had a local reputable shop take care of it for me. But I will be replacing it again with a GM part, since I am not sure what he used. Its only a $21 part anyway.
Hope this is helpful for someone.
