5/8" vs 16mm is only .009" difference. I'd bet both wrenches would work.
I got a spare bolt, bushings and all for the rad support on my workbench, I'll check it out and see but sounds pretty close. I use a 5/16" socket on the smaller bolts for the fender extensions/air dams and those are 7mm but it fits the metric bolt fine. Just easier to get at my std. Sockets sometimes.

If it seems to help anyone, LMK if you think a picture of this specific rad support bolt/bushing setup is worthwhile and I'll post it up.

Bob,
Please do, as I've got to do my body bushings soon.

I've got the 85 & 65MM replacements picked out from McMaster-Carr right now, but will hold off 'till I can verify everything.

Radiator Support Bushing

Here is the Rad Support Bushing setup I ihad from an old Front Clip I bought back in 2007. On this bolt, the Head and the Nut were both 15mm and the bolt is 4.25" from under the Bolt head to the end.

Here are a few pics of it together as I stored them and the 4 or 5 Thick washers. I believe the washers were just used under the Bushing shell to help raise the Body Nose on the Frame (if needed) when aligning the nose of the car. When recently installing these, I think I only used 1 or 2 washers on each side OR may have used none....cant remember. :wink2:

The face of the Bushing(s) with the holes, goes toward the Metal Washers and the Larger bushing goes UNDER the Rad Support.

Radiator Body Mounts and Retainers

The proper name for the metal retainer escapes me, but I was not able to find anyone that had replacements for a GM B-body at the radiator support location. I was able to find replacement retainers for Jeeps. The company is called Crown Automotive. The parts are 52001961 or 52002661. The one that I bought was a little too tall so I used a pipe cutter and trimmed off about 1/4 inch so that the nut and washer would squish the bushing. Measure your old retainers and decide for your self which Jeep retainer would work best for you. They were not expensive on Amazon.
