I have a stock '94 SS in need of a new steering box/gear (leaking like a siv) I'm wondering if I can swap it with a 91C box for some tighter turning? Part # says for cars equipped with sport steering? But also says "All models"?? Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance,

I recall from the research I did when I needed to replace mine (Also have a 94' and wanted to go to the 9C1) that yes, the 9C1 box will fit/work on a 94'. I believe the only difference are the parts inside the steering box.

Make sure wherever you buy the box from that it is a 'good' box.

The SS box and the 9C1 box should be the same. You can also replace the seals on the original box if that is where it is leaking. I would also measure the Pittman arm just to make sure they are the same (I always take the Pittman arm when I pull a box). You may have to adjust the box for tightness. The instructions for adjusting the box are in the FSM.
