Hello there Tom. I noticed the faded steering wheel too, but the car really looks good otherwise. I would like to see a photo of the undercarraige to be sure. Did it have a CarFax report with it?

The leather isn't worn to green, just aged to green. Some hides do that, others don't, but just the tan seems affected.

The white overspray around the black passenger front inner fender & behind left rear wheel, & lack of motor & underneath shots leave more questions, but overall looks like a nice car.

Isn't it scary how good he is at that?

I guess you'd better be, if this is what you do for a living.:D:D

I'd like to see the SPID and underbody. But nice all right. Needs alloys. What does it take to make the steering wheel look new? Re-dye or re-spray.....will it last?

Just a question...

Is this the standard armrest for leather interior wagons? My '96 has cloth interior and the armrest has fold-out drink holders and the top is one-piece that hinges at the rear.

This is correct for the year. Leather or fabric are same style for the year. Later years had different style as you mention.

Agree with Fred, real nice car there!

Also note the odd appearance of the white section of the lower right quarter above the spare wheel well:

It also looks like the headliner might be torn over the right rear window:

If anyone is considering bidding on this low-mileage car, maybe ask for some close-up photos of these areas, and of course all sections of the floor, frame and wheel wells!
The seller does include some photos of the engine and underhood areas, but there should be more close-up details of this area than there are.

Maybe some of us will pick at this for little stuff, but you can bet this car is going to go for big $, so make sure to find out anything that isn't perfect before bidding...

The driver side front door is wayyyyy out of alignment and sticks out like a sore thumb. Appears to be an 1/8" or more lower than everything else.
That's the one thing that I passed over - I've seen unmolested low milers with at least as much off. I saw it in the brochure: "Fit & finish quality is not job #1. Besides, if you're buying this, you're too damn old to tell we screwed up. Tight up those trifocals, Grandpa."

There are 2 photographs of the engine bay. The first one excludes any portion of the radiator and trans cooler, but does show the hardware is not rusted up. The second photo shows the windshield washer bottle and the factory tag on the filler cap.

When I picked up my '96 4yrs ago I too noticed the drivers side door was somewhat off alignment. I swore the car had been hit prior to my ownership. But now that I see the low mileage wagon with the exact same fit issue, I guess that was normal??

Just got mine back from the shop. I decided I hated how pristine the drivers side door looked, so I dragged it all over the bumper of this elderly womans '08 Impala. I was so pleased with the work that I'd done I cussed my-self into a coma the whole rest of the way to work. It took Radley Chevrolet a little over a week to locate a "Insurance Grade" door since I had so severly stretched the metal it could not be pounded back out. Gotta love driving with your head up your ars.

Anyway, that is a nice looking wagon. Only 50mins from home, if I only had the cash...

Enjoy,
