no...combination (proportioning) valve is the same 94-96, all models, disc or drum rear
You may not realize this--to swap in the 9C1 rear axle, you will end up with the rear wheels sitting deeper in the wheel opening on each side by 5/8".
Also, gear ratio will be different and you will need to do a PCM reflash to correct speedometer.
You can take the disc brake system components off of the 9C1 axle and just transfer them to the B4U axle, too.
