I just got front and rear 9C1 springs for the Caprice and was noticing something odd. One of each front and rear spring appear to be a 1/4 in. longer/taller than it's mate. Is this intentional, and if so,on which side should I mount the taller springs? Does any one have any recommendations on spring isolators front or rear?

They may be specific to each corner of the car - at least in the front. Scott Mueller wrote an interesting tech article for THE HERD concerning the pre-91 9C1 springs (you can probably find it on the Herd's site). He noticed his front 9C1 springs were different lengths. He guessed the extra equipment on the passenger side - battery and A/C - necessitated the longer spring. I'm not sure if the rears are staggered or not, I thought it was just the fronts. Mueller also recommended removing the bottom (axle side)spring cushion to improve handling. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the pointers guys. Can't wait to get a little height on the girl. Her ass drags gettin' up and down the insanely steep driveway every day. Weather is supposed to be nasty most of this week, so I'll post next week and tell ya how it went.
