A day at the dyno

well yesterday I attended a local dyno day and came away very pleased. The car wasn't perfect as it kept shifting on the dyno which messed up the torque readings. But the car posted a reading of 295hp so I will take that and run with it. Now the engine can come out for more work to begin. Can't wait to see what I can get out of it.

It has a CAI(filter, straight tube, aluminum elbow, airfoil, coolant bypass mod, Hooker Super Competition headers, small glass packs and 4.10 gears and a Tru Trac diff all with a tune om the PCM. Don't think I am leaving anything out. Really didn't think it would make that much. I will be taking the car to my engine builder tomorrow.
Thats a lot of power on a reliable motor to tear it down.
If the mileage is under 100k on the motor, I'd keep it as a spare and get
another block to build up. You can find LT1 engines used on Craigs or your
local yard for around $300.
An added bonus of this idea, is less down time/ pushing the car around while
the engine is out.

Already at my engine builder. Dropped the car off today.
What mileage on the current engine? Like Blue Wail wrote, those are great numbers for what ya got.

I've always been curious about mine, as she still does very well @ 181,000 but it's time to get the other engine completed and installed.

No idea. The previous owner put new gauges in and I don't remember how many miles he said were on it at that time. I have put like 14K miles on it since owning it.
