check out Citroen forums, if there is such a thing. These french cars are the only cars having hydraulic actice suspension in service. The Peugeot 605 has a semi active package, but the Citroen one works very well.
YOu could also check up Formula 1 sites, maybe o team is selling stuff to you from the days when actice suspension were allowed. If you design from scratch, hmmm, you must be a rich dude !
I already checked those sites out, but mostly just general information. I have a buddy with a PhD in systems analysis, and we're thinking of doing something for fun.
The hardware is not expensive, and is readily available, but the sensors and programming is where the cost is. Since our labor is free, our own costs wouldn't be that dramatic.
