I did some searching but didn't find anything for the stock radio. I had polk audio DB691 3-ways in the back, and liked them. I did some welding on my floors though and didn't think to disconnect them... they sound blown now.

I was thinking of just replacing them with the same ones, but figured I'd ask if anyone knows of a better 6x9 that doesn't need any more power than the stock unit can handle... Any suggestions?

most any 6x9 will do just fine with a stock stereo. Its not the ammount of power that the speakers can handle its the ammount the stereo puts out before hitting distortion.IMHO your crutch in a SS is the 4x6 in the doors but thats a different story

I have polk 6.5s in the front doors. Those did make a huge difference. I'm pretty noobish when it comes to audio stuff. Are the minimum power requirements about the same then for most speakers? Or will a bigger speaker be quieter?

the minimum requirements to me really wont matter much honestly on what your doing,Whats important to keep in mind that the rear speakers will go into distortion very early because your stock stereo really isnt putting out much at all,Heck even if you went and got a 30 dollar cd deck it would probably out perform your stock stereo sound wise!Stereos these days arent really that expensive and for a resonable budget you can get alot of value,Sat radio,Aux inputs bluetooth phone and streaming audio are all doable for under 300 installed most places ive seen and most ive done on a budget for clients are in the 250 to 300 range and it was a pioneer cd deck with bluetooth and usb for ipod .so you can spend very little and get alot believe me and the look isnt bad for what you get its the best improvement you can make on a ss !

Alright, thanks for the info! I've always avoided putting an aftermarket head unit in because they look goofy to me with the adapter kits, but maybe I'll start looking again. My old set up did get some distortion when I had the volume and bass all the way up on songs with a lot of parts going on at once. I'll probably just reorder the set I blew to hold me over for now.
