I am looking to go with a set of AI heads to go with the AI cam I ordered, approx size of 236/242-112.

I currently run a set of LT1 alum heads, self-ported, 180cc intake runner, 2.00/1.56 valves.

I was looking to upgrade to AI's 200cc LT1 heads, but he out of cores. So I am now looking at his Trick Flow 212cc / 21degree heads.

What are you guys thoughts on these TF heads, and do you think the runner volume is big enough to cause a significant loss in low-end torque?

My current setup of the DIY ported LT1 heads and Comp 503 cam produce good low-end response, but peaks at 5700. I am looking to move peak up 600 to 800 RPM to 6300 to 6500.

Any input is welcome, thanks.

Those 212cc intake ports are not a concern for low rpm torque on a 383.
With your 3000 converter, you'll never notice a loss at all.

Thanks Pat. This is Tony Hill, from 1999/2000 when I had the 'stock with bolt-ons' record before you broke it, forever I gather. I'm getting back in the game after having my SS in storage for the past 5 years.
