I want to remove my air pump seems fairly simple to do, but in some posts on this subject, i read you need to shim or make a braket of some sort to support something that the air pump helps hold in place. i did a serch but still am unsure as to get around this problem. Everything else seems easy as long as the fittings come out of the maniflods easily. Any help would be appreciated. thanks guys!

i believe it might be the spark plug wire(s) holder. it is part of the bracket that holds the pump on. i just snapped that piece off of the bracket and bolted it back on. granted i am not a 'show car person' i just wanted to part to do it's original job which was hold the wires away from the block.

good luck...
