Okay, first off, we're talkind ride height adjustment, not "helper bags".

I'm looking at starting this project very soon, just wanted to get some questions out of the way. I'm planning on going with rs62's all the way around. I just picked up a york compressor, but does anyone know of someone that makes mounts for the york to fit on the lt1? Also, who offers mounts (other than air ride tech) Anyone out there running an engine driven compressor, and if so, what size tank are you running? I'm also considering adding nitrogen later (already got 2 tanks and a regulator from my last project left over). I'm sticking with the factory size wheels and tires for now, but would eventually move up to a set of 20s, so how big of a notch will I need in the back? Can I get buy with a c-notch? do you need spindles to lay out in the front? And at what point will I need to rework the front fenders to lay out?

bagsandbrackets.com... or something of the sort. On the rest I can't really help. I just have a traditional system.

Sorry... read further... You will need spindles and I think to lay the crossmember with 20's you'll need to trim the fenders. I can barely do it with 18's and 245-40/R18's
On the rear notch, I don't think anyone makes a pre-fab for our cars, if that's what you're asking. and I think you need about 4" or so.

on 20's the back only has to be notched about 2-3 inches, however 2"-3 inches is not safe and you end up havig to do some sort of bracing or doing the c notch.

what is the height of your factory wheels? then figure out the height of the tire you want to run on 20's. for example if you are at 27" tire now and you were gonna run a 28" tire on 20's then you have a 1" difference. Divide that in half and that is the height difference between the axle now and then... you can even put something thats 1/2" under the stock tire and the axle is the same as a 1" higher tire... OR just thought of this.. go to used tire place and spend 40 bux on bigger tires that are the same height as the 20' tires you want.
be careful on the parking on something idea due to the tire size increase all the way around...

yeah, the tires I have now on the factory 15s I've already figured out are the same size as the 20s I planned on running. Guess I'll wait till I'm done bagging to figure out what I'm doing as far as a notch and final wheels and tires. May end up going down to 18s just to avoid putting in as much work. I spent almost 80% of the time I owned my last truck working on suspension instead of enjoying it. Don't want to do that again.

I have York compressors on my IHC Scout 2s & I plan on converting at least 1 of them to on-board air. If the compressor is the rectangular box type instead of the pancake style it's capable of airing up a 35" MT tire from about 3lbs to 35lbs in just under a minute at about 1200rpm just to give you an idea for tank sizes. Good luck on the project--I plan on bagging my Impala SS as well.
