hey guys im somewhat new to the forum (been reading but not posting) but my question is when im on the highway going over small bumps in the road the car sways everywhere and i don't like it ive got Gabriel Ultra shocks on it that have been on for 10,000 miles so far and everything else is still stock. do you guys have any suggestions on what i need to replace/add to firm up my suspension a little bit. thanks in advance.

What tires do you have? How old is the idler arm? I replaced the idler with a mood problem solver, Big difference... The car did not want to veer left or right over bumps.

for tires im runnin Falken S/TZ-01 in stock size and im guessin that the idler arm is still stock w/ 120,000 miles on it

Oo yea.. thats way toast.. Probably the whole front is is loose to say the least

Jack up the front, support the front with jack stands with both wheels off the ground. Check for play in the steering/suspension compoents by wiggling the wheels. Listen carefully for odd noises.

Sometimes bumping up the air pressure helps with keeping the car going straight... The BFGs on the SS are aired to 40PSI. Sure, the ride is hard, but the car tracks straight. Check the max pressure on the tires side wall. Air up the tires close to or at that number

so i should go ahead and replace the idler arm w/ the moog one from autozone or oreillys would swapping out just that alone help any....sorry for the lack of knowledge as this is why im here to get taught by you guys

You might as well swap out the entire front end. I dont really want to sound like im advertising here, but Im doing the same thing to my car, and I'm using rusticracing.com. Powerperformance motorsports sells a kit also.

when swappng out the front end how much work, time,money, and parts are involved in this. sorry for all the ??s just want to learn to do it right the first time.
