So freakin' close I can taste it...

The ECM is in, all sensors are behaving. I went to start the engine and **CLICK**. Dead battery, won't even hold a charge!!! DieHard is the worst, I've managed to eat four of them in three different cars in less than two years! (I had Warranty claims for all of those). Since all systems look good, I'm going to install a new (another brand) battery and try to break it in this weekend.

Quick question for you all!!! My car looks all goofy from where the previous owner let a dealership mechanic drive it into a wall.

Anyways, anyone have a spare front license plate bracket they'd like to donate to a poor college student with a 400+hp luxury car? I figure I should try that angle before I offer money ;)

There WILL be videos when it works. That, and once I get it working I'm going to go all-out with the upgrades. :D

I have had GREAT luck with battery's from wall mart.
and for a battery to last, you must draw it down every so often. Like parking and leaving the "parking" lights on.

IT'S ALIVE!!! (sort of).

I turned the key, let oil pressure build up (it made scary noises though) and it STARTED! Then FLAMES shot up out of the TBI unit. Three seconds of glory, the way a 205k mile Chevy powered vehicle ought to

So I emailed the guy who sold me the ECM for hints on what I should do with the tune, and I am going to check out the ignition system. I also will call the engine builder and see what he says my base timing needs to be for break-in. Clearly I'm off by more than a few degrees.

I have to laugh before I cry. The thing ran under it's own power despite singeing my hoodliner.

And three seconds of wildly cammed 383 stroker is so sweet even through the stock single exhaust

Awesome...hopefully not too much longer before more successful running. But that said, 3 seconds is better than nothing!
