Anyone use the Proform 141-131 valve covers? I am wondering if notching the alternator is required to make them fit. I'll know when I go to put them on soon, but its always nice to know what to expect on the install.

Jegs says they won't fit due to the alternator bracket. But I've heard in the past that it was possible to grind the alternator a bit.

While I did see that already I was hoping someone had done this with the specific valve covers, thank you though.

I pulled off the composite covers and set them along side the proforms and there was no difference in cover lip height, so I just put on the proforms, and the alternator and they fit without issue. Although I must add that I have an aftermarket alternator too, so thats probably why I was able to add the proform covers without notching.
