I have a set of 95 Z28 aluminum heads, would like to put on a 95 buick wagon. Will they increase the compression ratio, or is there any reason this change would be a problem?
thanks, Tom

So many of us say "use search" that in and of itself should be searched upon. You can put them on. It will raise compression if used with the OE B body head gasket. These heads do not flow as well as the iron heads you are removing. You will be saving weight, but losing thermal effciency. But in a nutshell, unless they have been ported, other than weight savings, they are almost counterproductive.

If stock its not worth the trouble to swap. Actually the iron Bbody heads flow better than the fbody alum heads do stock for stock.
