NUMBER 9!!!!

hopefully tradin off my lifted 87 4x4 for a 95 B4U.

has a shudder about 55 mph but i figure be better than what i got.... i yard ornament that eats starters.

hopin the dude comes up this week and i'll just AAA the truck to his house and be back daily drivin a B-Body.





holy crap, i've had 17 vehicles in the last 15 years.... i think i'm missin some in my countin tho.

Nice Hugger! One can never to have too many B-Body's in their past,present and future!

Haha your B-Body list looks like one hell of a good resume to me ;)

well its my first 95. not too worried bout ownin a 93 really. but hopin in the near future i can get me a black fleetwood or black RMW... ok i want both.

well its a no go. truck wont fire. ate a brand new starter. i can't honestly sell a truck that wont run when it was runnin 3 weeks ago. starter gear wont stay in contact with the flywheel, soon as it gets compression the starter lets go. listed it on craigslist to part it out. sell it all quick enough i can just go pay cash for a car.

well i talked to the guy that wants it. he's in columbus. he was tryin to help me thru it over the phone. its still on if i can get it to run and we'll meet halfway to trade. it'll make alot of room in my garage cuz i wont need all these 4x4 chevy parts i have stock piled.

oh yeah, anyone ever see a starter crack the nose? brand new out of the box.

well last time i drove the truck i took a couple cars in for scrap. it ran fine. got the deal goin for the 95 so i figured make sure everything good on the truck.tired to fire it up and starter just spins. no contact with the flywheel. take it in for testin and its bad. imagin that! get a new one and 2 hits on the key, it cracks the nose. what the hell?! i take it back, get my money, my mom stops by the yard and grabs me a factory one out of a 79 (motor in my 87 is a 79 LS9), i bolt it in and it fires up good. everything soundin great. well tomorrow the day for the trade.

i get home tonite and do another check of everything. i wanna make surei can make it to the meet up an hour away. fired it up and theres a HORRIBLE noise!! did some investigatin and found all the bellhousing bolts and 2 of the converter bolts are backed out!!! i loctite'd them when i did the trans upgrade a few months back.

ok we tighten all the bolts up and truck sounds good....

whats drippin?! o crap thats from the water pump!!!

bolts backed out of water pump!!! it has new gaskets and everything was torqued to specs with new gaskets when i did the trans!!!

i just can't win. i get to where everythings good and something screws up. i dunno if i'm gittin the car now.

i'm doin the waterpump tomorrow and if all goes well.... hell who knows. i may be stuck with an archaic truck. who cares, it can pull a 5 ton wrecker out in 2wd

well time came to tow the 87 v20 down to do trade... i couldn't do it. i thought itd all go easy but i couldn't look at my truck on the back of a tow truck. hopefully i can do it this week. this sucks. never really had to sell a vehicle that i hadn't destroyed.
