·My buddy with a Caprice bought some ST springs from JC Whitney last week. They arrived yesterday. So I pull his car into the shop at work today, and pull the sprngs, he said he'll bring the springs after lunch. So he finally gets to the shop with the springs, and we open up the boxes. Both pairs have a sticker that says "Suspension Techniques Front" on them. I look at them, and both pairs are identical. So I say to him, you got f*cked. lol So I call ST directly and ask them if there is a differene in the springs. I know that my Sprints were different. They guy tells me that the front should be 13.5" and the rears should be 11.5 inches.
I tell Charles that we can wait for the correct rear springs to be shipped to him, and he'd be on foot. Or I could put the new fronts in and put the stock rears in. Then he could come back tommorrow and I could cut the stock rear springs for the time being, until he gets his new one. He said do it.
So here's the question, for a 2" drop in the rear, how much should I cut from the springs. It's not a 9C1 BTW. Just a regular Caprice Classis.
