Any ideas? FWB door pull spring flop

So, the driver's door interior pull handle on my '95 Fleetwood flops because the wire tension spring on the back snapped from use. The pull handle unit itself is in flawless shape, except for that straight wire with a hook on each end on the back of the door pull. Anyone have a suggestion?
