Was wishing to know if anyone has ordered from this company. I purchased one of there catalogs and it took over four weeks to arrive( they are OHIO and I live in Kentucky) usually a two to three day mail job. Pricing seems unrealistic on some items there web site is www.apex-audio.com. if anyone has ordered from them let me know what you thought of service and products.

looks kinda shady to me...considering they don't have any products listed and require you to order the catalog. And with the time it took you just to get that...I wouldn't put much faith in getting your stuff in under 3-4 months, if ever.

I've never heard of em or dealt with them. Post on these car audio forums and you'll prob have better luck finding someone who has (considering this is mostly an impala based forum...not car audio). I post on all of them and they're mostly good people :D

www.termpro.com (db drag racing official forum...many competitors from local level up to national. finals are this weekend in nashville so many will be gone come thursday/friday. Also some inside industry people).

www.carsound.com (magazine's website...hosts official USACi *competition organization* forum. Some industry people there as well.)

forum.soundillusions.net (SQ orientated site...also hosts the Elemental Designs official forum. GREAT people there!)

www.caraudioforum.com (has many flame wars but if you can avoid em it's got some good info as well)

yeah, i got a pair of jbl 1200's from them about a year and a half ago...quick delivery. Their equipment line-up isn't really high end...low to mid-end, but the prices are nice

and they even called me because they were having problems with my credit card so we could straighten it out ASAP.

Try a local store I go to a place here in minnesota and I get my stuff close to internet price sometimes cheaper. For instance I am buying a JL audio W7 for 500 the cheapest I found online was 599.
Bring an ad from the internet and see what they will do.

I used to be a member of Apex-audio. They are for real and their prices are great. However, their customer service sucks and their shipping prices are outrageous. At least, that's how it was a couple years ago. I bought a bunch of equipment through them a couple times for myself and others, but the ship times were long, usually 2 to 3 weeks. And you could never get through to anyone on the phone, and they didn't return calls...

500? can prob find cheaper (still overpriced imho :D )...and i doubt any brick and mortar audio store is going to care about internet pricing much. They'll just tell you that those prob aren't authorized dealers and you won't get a factory warranty (might get a warranty thru the store you purchase it from). That is, unless you're a regular customer then they might try to keep your business...but not just anyone off the street.
