Thanks!!!
Thanks everyone! I thought El Demonio was going to win for sure!
This is actually my second ROTM win, each with a different plasti-dip color. First one was in Oct 2013 with the Koi Orange and Matte Black.
Now this one with the Anthracite Gray and Matte Black.
I have had the car since 2000 (second owner). It originally came with Bellajio Racing Katana 20" rims. They looked great back then. Funny story when I first bought it I took it to the track here in Las Vegas with my buddy. He was sitting in the stands watching. When I pulled up to the sandbox for my first run a gentlemen sitting right behind my friend started yelling "That's my car! That's my car! I should've never sold it!". With all the ingredients for an unflattering 1/4 mile run, me on the track for the very first time, in the summer heat of Las Vegas, and driving in an Impala sitting on 20's, our small worlds collided. It turned out the previous owner, Chapo, was there too cheering me on!
The car still has the original LT1. It was rebuilt and stroked around 115k miles back in 2007. Probably put on another 15-20k on the stroker since then. Moving the look of the car away from shiny chrome and 20" wheels to a more traditional muscle car look. I like it that way. It will most likely get another plasti-dip color for 2015 while I continue to refresh and modify her before a final paint job in 2016.
