I was offered 4 BF goodrich t/a 225 70 15 tires for 80$ that are under half worn but am not sure if they are ok for my 96 9C1 as the ones I use to buy were the BF Goodrich comp t/a that had a thicker sidewall...any opinions?

They will be just fine. I ran both 225/70/15 and 235/70/15 when I had Caprice rims

They should be just fine- check your door sticker to see what came stock on your car- the factory shipped both sizes-

What speed rating? Depending on what came from the factory, your speed limiter may be set higher than those tires are rated for- something to keep in mind, if you are so inclined-

Thanks for all the input everyone but I went to see the tires and they have weather cracking and un even wear!!!
