I've got a 91 RMW, I have installed a Pioneer DEH-P3700MP head unit and now I want to replace the door speakers. I was wondering what other guys have tried and like, the speaker size is 4X6 for the front, I was also wondering if there is any other options for the rear beside 6X9, that still fit under the factory panels. A friend just gave me two RF 12's and a hifonics 2x200 watt amp, he said they have been sitting for almost two years and to wipe the speakers with wd-40/ armorall to soften them up. That doesn't sound like a good idea. Is there anything that should be done to them before hooking them up? Sorry if these are stupid questions but I am new to the audio side of modding Ray

For the front speakers i would change the 4x6 to a 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 which ever you like better. For the rear 6x9 you could use an adapter plate to mount 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 back there as well. As far as brand there are so many that i would say go listen to a bunch in peoples cars and go from there. I personally like the Memphis Mclass for the speakers. Good luck. As for the cleaning up the sub you got me on that one. You might just pop test (hook up speaker wire to the + and - of the woofer and the put the leads to a 9 volt battery to see if the woofer moves) and meter them to make sure they are good.
