So I threw in a stock rear bar just to see how it feels in terms of holding grip in the rear since the big bar would unload the inner tire quite quickly.

And while it did its job I guess I underestimated how much the car would still roll with 750 springs, with stock seats this type of roll is difficult to manage even with the seat belt super tight.

I've reverted to the big bar for this coming Saturday with the more appropriate alignment. A harness is on the bucket list for the future.

Makes me wonder if it still dives with 750 springs this hard, how one can even do it on softer springs.

Less rear sway bar = more understeer, doesn't it?

Yea I just wanted to test something. A few guys have complained about the big bar unloading the inner tire too quickly resulting in difficult to control oversteer. And I can see that happening on bigger road and faster courses.

The soft rear bar allows the rear tires to still grip during turns, but without the proper seat to hold you in during the roll it's difficult to manage. With the proper seat it would be manageable and may actually be even better since you can power out of turns properly.

Because the course I run is fairly short and tight and I'm on stock seats the big bar makes sense for my application.

Here's the combos I've tested out:

Hotchkis Springs / Bilsteins / BMR sway bars / Stock Seats - Can't turn in or exit corner putting any power down without the rear of the car sliding out, car rolls wayy too hard

750 pound springs in the front / Bilsteins (ak1503 up front) / BMR sway bars / Stock Seats - Best feeling so far since I'm not sliding about and I can get the car to kick the rear out real quick to get around the sharper turns.

750 pound springs in the front / Bilsteins (ak1503 up front) / Rear stock bar BMR up front / Stock Seats - Your definitely hitting understeer however with a proper seat and braking properly you can get it to rotate and the biggest difference being is being able to put the power down because both rear tires have fairly good contact with the ground.

Speaking of seats, I recall some members installing some Pontiac seats that had better side support than the stockers, and came in a nearly identical shade of gray. I THINK they were Bonneville seats, but I don't recall what years?

(Edit) Found this: Bonneville seat control with 6 speed

Unfortunately I never liked the look of the bonnies, they remind me of the Michelin man 😂

Got the big bar back in, love how the car feels again, but my brakes went to complete mush so I had no braking power to carry any good speed. So need to do some work on that end.
