My car have issues from voltage spikes to dimming lights. I’ve swapped out my opti and that was the problem... so it leads me to my auxiliary battery posts. If anyone have a walk-through a PDF or pictures on how to take one apart that would help greatly, there is a post on here but the water marks in the picture makes it hard to see the picture.

Sounds more like a grounding issue, damaged alternator, or bad alternator wiring.

OP

"some" B bodys had a aluminum AUX post IIRC. If your car is one of those you want a brass one.

Tis may not have anything to do with your issue but something to consider. +1 on checking all your primary grounds.

I was having electrical gremlins on my 94 Caprice.Was the zinc/small nut original aux post was over heating causing a bunch or issues.Replaced with the later much better brass/larger nut post.
I took pics as I was doing the replacement.What specifically are you wanting to see?
