When is it standard practice to be admitted into the B-Bodies Anonymous support group? Three, four, five b-bodies?

I think I'm going to be needing some counseling soon.

I have not owned more than one B-Body at once but I have owned (in order of appearance):

1963 White Biscayne (was this considered a B-Body?)

1973 Nasty Copper-ish Caprice Classic

1993 DGGM Caprice Classic
[/list]

Does not being able to stay away from them qualify me for membership in BBA?

I presently have four with the '69 Impala I'm restoring but I've had six others - another '69 coupe, a '77 coupe, '86 Caprice Landau coupe, '88 9c1, '89 9c1 and a '89 Brhm LS - I'm a junkie.

I am the proud owner of only two b-bodies. These are just gateway cars. I am selling my mothers silverware to buy more. Have I hit bottom yet?

I currently have the 3 Impalas, but a few years back I had 4 b-bodys. '95 & '96 SS's, & '93 & '95 Caprice wagons!

And my latest desire is a black int/ext/top '95 Fleetwood, using the motor & tranny from my '95 SS!

BTW, what kind of support group DOESN'T have a coffee pot?

BTW Walker : I saw a 90 or so (older body style) Fleetwood yesterday that was black paint/top and black interior.....AND all the chrome trim was also black. Nice set of 17" Billet wheels too. VERY sweet looking!

Only 1 B-body.....for now

i'm with 408pacecar, i also think the late model fleetwoods look sharp. didn't the big caddy have the LT1 as an option? i know some of the roadmasters had 'em.

It wasn't only an option, it was MANDATORY

ALL of the 94-96 Impalas, Fleetwoods, Roadmasters (both Sedan and Wagon) and Caprice Wagon had the LT1. Same motor in all of them, but some have the mechanical fan (which robs about 10 HP and 10 ft-lbs according to GM). The 96 (on all of them) has slightly better flowing heads, but a slightly milder cam. Net result is basically the same power out of all 3 years.

Some of the Caprice Sedans have the LT1, and some have the L99 (4.3L V8 "baby LT1", same externally but basically a smaller bore and stroke inside). The L99 was available on ALL Caprice sedans, including the "Civilian", 9C1 (Police), and 9C6 (Taxi). I know that the Houston PD bought almost all (if not ALL) of their 94-96 9C1s with the L99 instead of the LT1.
