It's not well known enough for me to have ever heard or seen a peep about it.Not looking to pile on but it is very well known that any sort of lube on the seal and it is going to leak. Better to deal with it now then later don't you think?

Just to be clear, I'm not saying you guys are wrong.I would like to know the proper way to install the water pump drive seal. Do the 2 lips of the seal end up on top of each other facing outward or should the inside lip remain pointing toward the motor? And how do you accomplish the proper install?www.impalassforum.com
