Hey everyone, new guy here figured I'd finally make a post and show some pics of my caprice I've been workin on. These cars are new to me as this is my first one and I've always had mini trucks before but I decided to try something different as I've always thought bagged caprices and impalas look good. I bought the car already bagged for $1,500 off some one on craigslist, brought it to a friend of mine so we could lay it out on some 20's but then seeing rabbit's build, I seen how big of wheels these cars could take so I had to step up my game. Well enough talking and on to the pics.

Front Lift

All Aired Up

We still have a lot of work to do to the car, mainly sheet metal work on the in side and shave a few things on the outside as well. This is a budget build for me so it has taken about 3 months to get it where it is now but thanks to a lot of help from my good friend Ian who knows how to do just about anything crazy to a vehicle it should be done by slamfest in October.

Update finally, so we got the all of the sheet metal done and seamsealed except for the trunk, started to put some of the interior in. Then raised the gas tank so it doesn't drag when laid out, Shaved the trunk lock, and work on the rear door jams.

Then we had an issue with the front fenders. The wheels I have need to sit in about 1/2" more, when laid out they would push the fender out slightly. My friend Ian working on it sectioned the fender slightly, that way I could drive laid out.

I'm happy with how they turned out and it gave me a little more turning radius laid out. And these wheels are cheap and beat up, I plan on getting a different set down the road with the right offset and width., so I could always just get another set of stock fenders.

We ran into a problem when we tried to start it though. The throttle body on it was seized, soaked it gas to clean it and ordered a rebuild kit also. Hopefully I won't need a new one, trying to make it to slamfest but not sure if it will be driving by then.

looks like a great build and love that you guys are doing it all your self... so how hard do you think your car would drag with those big wheels???? im just asking cause those are some big a$$ to be laid out on.... im bodydropped and can only fit 20's in the front and that is with sectioned front fenders.... keep up the bad a$$ work and cant wait to see more pics...

Luvin the bagged 91, keep up the good work you in ya homie is doing;) Can't wait to see when you guys are done.
Looks cool. Cant wait to see it next weekend. Did you find out if you have spindles?
that is sick..i want a skirted caprice now
+1 I've always wanted to bag one
Thanks for the comments, Rockstar I am going to the junkyard today in search of a throttle body and stock airbox so I will look at the spindles on the car their to see if mine are different. If the junkyard doesn't have a throttle body I'm not sure if the car will make it to slamfest as I'm also still waiting for the rest of the panhard bar parts. I might see if I can get someone to trailer it.
Ooh I wish I had my 91 again. Looks good.
only way to go with a 91-92 is bagged or hydraulics in IMO, it looks good man
I am digging it....... Is the seam sealer paintable? It kinds throws off the metal work that was painted black
Are those standard trailer fenders from like Northern Tools? Cause the measurements i have those fenders where too small but it also looks like you added to them.
Sweet ride but i would never cut my interior up i would just drop it on axle and go with that
Didnt see you at the show today, you makin it out?

I took a some pics of the car today and some video, I'm going to start on the body work this week and hopefully have everything ready for paint. Heres the pics and video and a clip shot cruising during slamfest.
