Even with a battery tender hooked to the battery . Battery tender says battery is fully charged . When I get in the car all the lights are on like they are supposed to be but when I turn the key the battery dies . Took the battery out to have it checked today , they said it was good . When I went to put the battery back in I noticed that the screw on the positive side wouldn't tighten and would just keep spinning . Went to Walmart and grabbed a new one . Everything is tight now . Been out to the garage twice since replacing the screw and the car has been starting right up . I also put another battery tender on from my other car just incase the other one is bad . Will try to start Tommorow and see what happens . Any ideas what it could be if this doesn't start the problem ?

It sounds like you had a loose connection. If the bolt was free spinning then you didn't have a tight connection This means you weren't properly charging the battery when running the car, or even with your battery tender hooked up.

I would keep check on the tightness of your connection. If the bolt was stripped, then even though you replaced it, the post could be stripped as well.

In my opinion there's not much strength in a side post battery connection, which is why I don't like them. You have to be very careful not to over tighten them.

Just keep an eye on it. Check your voltage both running and not running, to confirm you're charging as well.

Check your alternator connections.

Ok .. Will do ... The new bolt is tightened down now.. The last bolt was stripped .. I'm really hoping that's all it was .. I'm going to be keeping a close eye on it .. Im also going to check the voltage Tommorow..Thanks a lot for the help

Everything started up correctly this morning... If everything starts up Tommorow morning , I guess the issues was that loose connection .
