As u all know my 95 9C1 is wrecked and i picked up a civilian Caprice and i have a few questions?

Is it worth swapping over control arms and spindels?

I was going to have most of it apart anyway cause i am puttin in the 9C1 springs,,,and i want the bigger brakes too so i think i need to put the other spindel in anyway

Also is there a way if i can tell if they are bent...the 95 was in a front end crash?? and i don;t want to do all the work and have them be bent after installation.?

Thanks

A 95 9C1 might have different arms and spindles but they might just be the same too, the 5/8 balljoints used in late 95 and 96 on the 9C1 are more durable than the 9/16 used on civi and older models but it is not NEDDED durability. Take care of the 9/16ths stuff and it holds up just fine.
On the spindles needing to be swapped for the "bigger brakes" well all the rotors are the same anyway(SS got clearcoated ones but same casting), the 9C1 got wider calipers that will fit any of the spindles, they use a thicker pad possible to insulate the fluid some and add service life. So 9C1 brakes are slightly different, but are not any signifigant improvement, a cop car is just a Caprice with less trim not anything real special, just like an SS is just a Caprice with sportier trim, still nothing special. If you want to swap this stuff over go for it, but frankly you will see no real benifit. IF your old car has 5/8 joints then you would be adding some strength to the new car which is nice but is overkill, and to see any real improvement in brakes you need larger aftermarket components the 9C1 parts just aren't that.
