The design of them. The square mufflers flow better than you think. They tend to be quieter, and have more personality. I"m pretty sure flowmaster doesn't make any "turbo" style mufflers, which are basically glasspacks in a larger case, with 3 internal tubes. Flowmasters / the Hooker aero chambers, are a chamber muffler. Meaning there is no fiberglass filler, and the sound control is because of the different chambers in the muffler.
