Anyone had any experience of using bluetooth with their ipod to connect to their headunit?
Looking at getting a headunit for my Taurus, and thinking that it might be cool.

I agree^^^
I just bought a pioneer deh x6500bt and the Bluetooth sounds and works fine.
I can use aux, USB or Bluetooth and of course Bluetooth is easier because once u get in the car it's connected. Great for phone calls too

Let me know Pogo

I have the DEH-9800BT and I really like it, problem is I need to pair it again every time I start the car. That was with the iPhone 4, I'm hoping it will be better with the 5, but right now the dash is out of the car, so I'll have to wait to find out.

I really like the quality of the sound, both the phone as well as Bluetooth music. As far as the phone is concerned, I couldn't load the contacts from the phone, and people would complain about how I sounded to THEM, although they sounded great to ME.

Not sure why u have to sync every time. I have a 3GS and it connects everytime I get back in the car. It also Keeps my phone book and favorite preset phone numbers. Maybe wired wrong or there might be a seperate memory battery

Hey Coolwazabi,

Looks like a really good unit. Does it pair automatically when you get in your car?

Does it download your phone book?

I have a Pioneer DEH9800 BT, and it won't pair automatically or download my phone book.

Congrats on a cool radio - Thanks.

Yes it pairs automatically with iphones and galaxy s3. It does download recent calls and phone book. When phone rings it shows who's calling and this is my fav option. If your turning on pandora radio while synced then shut your car off. It will close pandora knowing your done driving to save phone battery.
