Many ISSCA members have already voted, but there remain many more ballots to make it into the ISSCA P.O. box over the next couple of weeks. If you have NOT returned your ballot yet, please take care of it as soon as possible!

The ballot postmark deadline date is November 15. We have had a number of ballots get damaged in the mail and returned with no postmark, no name or signature, etc., so if you have not received yours, please reply ASAP directly to me at:

[email protected]

Please be sure to include your ISSCA member number. Some replacement ballots have already been sent out, and we want to avoid any further duplications as much as possible.

Some of you have wondered why there is only one candidate in several regions, which makes voting seem unnecessary. While you may have preferred to have more choices, the current board could not force anyone to run for election, so some regions will go without for now. Still, voting for the single candidate running does let that person know he/she has the support of those in the region they will be representing, so please do submit your ballot! It is true, in many cases, the person voting doesn't even know the candidate(s). We hope that once these new Board members are elected and commence their duties, you will have the chance to get to know them better. It's just part of the process of "bootstrapping" ISSCA along to the point where all of the efforts to get organized so that the regions have good representation are going to take time. Your interim board is doing its best to "keep all the balls in the air" as we tackle the many issues that come up--we are anxious to have the new board members come aboard to lend a hand and to serve as your voice in all that we are planning for the future.

Elections will be held again next year at the same time. In January 2003, with your support, a full 26-seat Board of Directors can be in place. Between now and then, please think about what you can do to make ISSCA better, and if it includes making yourself available as a candidate for the board, let that interest be known.

Best Regards,
Bill

Navy Lifer: Bill, I just received the ISSCA Ballot today , so I will not be able to have it back by Nov.15th....
It looks like it was originally sent from Little Rock, AR, then returned for additional postage.
It was then sent from Santa Ana,CA, and arrived today...
Ah, the real world of Postal Services, border crossings, etc. :)
Anyway, thanks for the ballot, I would be voting in Region #7....

Jim,

I've answered you directly via personal e-mail.

Yes, there were a few "bumps" in our process, and the USPS's unpredictability always makes it interesting doing a large mailout.

As I wrote, what ISSCA is looking for is a postmark on the return ballot card of November 15. Since the postage is already there (though we may not have given you enough to get the card back from Canada--oops) go ahead and send it!

This goes for everyone who may still have a ballot they have not sent--don't let the stamp go to waste! :D

Anyone who wasn't sure who they were voting for should go here:
