So I've installed my new head unit and amp/eq, and now have ignition noise in the system. The stock unit had no noise (and nothing but the head unit has changed).

How can I get rid of it?

Easier than you may think

Run the power for the amp away from the RCA and speaker wire. Try just moving things away inside the trunk, then go the more drastic route of rewiring the power to the other side of the car

Also you what to make sure that the deck, eq, and amps are grounded in the same location. I always run a ground from the deck to the amp just in case.

Will do.

Actaully all of the wiring is in the dash. I will run the RCA's out from the head unit (and to the amp/eq) out a different direction than the wiring harness and see if that makes a difference.

I will also add a ground strap to both the head unit and amp/eq.

Basically what I have is small in dash EQ with built in amp running off the RCA output from the head unit. Both are powered and grounded by using the stock stereo wiring harness (with an adapter that breaks out all of the wiring).

Will try these fixes and report back.
