Thanks Gene,
Decisions, decision.
Save Tranny? or
Race #1 qualifier in 1st round?

by the way, I just now noticed they did the ladder different this year. They did a 1 vs 9 2 vs 10 etc etc instead of 1 vs 16

Ahhhhh, but au contrar, my lil friend!
If I had stayed in it I would have had my first 11 second run and been in 7th place running against the second tier.

I think that pairing system is as close to fair as ya can get. They all should be that way.
G
I lost to Pat in the semi's in the HUBO class, could of been the closest race of the day.

Pat Me
RT .346 .664
60 1.715 1.875
330 5.159 5.249
1/8 8.125 8.019
mph 82.73 89.05
1000 10.686 10.473
1/4 12.846 12.636
mph 104.27 102.20

Pat took the win by .1081!!! I figured the spray would make up for the 4.88's vs 3.08's

I finished this run in 2nd the tranny wouldnt shift into 3rd.....4.10's are on the way!!!

Nice to meet you at the shootout. You sure are the life of the party! I'm glad I'm not the geek you thought I was.

Scott
(Mr. MUSSCLE to you)
G
Haha Scott, likewise my friend. Thanks for the beer(s)! See you at Cecil, or some track in the mid west.
G
Karl, thats how the NHRA likes a ladder to be laid out...our newest software at work actually lays a ladder out for you if you just tell it who's lining up on the qualifying rounds (give it a car number and it handles the rest once they run and it knows their ET).

You wanna see something hard to do...lay out a ladder for 101 cars or something odd like that...I had to figure out ladders for everything from a 2 car race to a 128 car race...not fun at all...takes FOREVER when you have to deal with that many by runs for it to work out properly in the end.
G

Cool! more info comming in. thanks Chett!

Other Big Dog please add.

thanks,
Karl
G
No problem Karl.

I am surprised we can't get this info from GASSIT or Atlanta Dragway.

One piece of info that I forgot to mention......Weight without the driver after each of my runs was bettween 4150-4130 lbs.

I think this is an important piece of info needed when compiling the ladder and results from a Heavy Weight Shootout ;) Hopefully GASSIT can get all of this official info from the track.

Thanks again Karl
G
Man-O-Man Chet, you and Big Daddy John R. love keeping these cars Xtra Heavy. You might have been able to shed the 350lb and gone deeper 10's

Now go ahead and put some street legal front wheels on that thing and don't dent the nice HoleShots.
Those tings are so lite that they dent if you look crosseyed at them.
