what is the break in period of a 12" L7 before i can crank up the amp?

I played mine low for about a week turning it up just a bit here and there.

Yea man, I didn't know either. Might have been why I went through about 20 subs in 6 months.... gotta love that warranty program through Best Buy though :D

Kicker recommends a "break in" period to somewhat loosen the surround so it can handle full excursion.

it been a few days and a lot of hours of music, my question now is that when i crank up the volume sometimes the sub cuts out and then comes back and then cuts out, does this sound like a ground wire problem?
