Finally getting around to the attempt at fitting my NRE turbos under the hood....my worst fear of relocating things may be realized...It may be a long process so bear with me!

Check out Karl's Page...he put together ERE #36 for me....Some of the specs are within the link but here's a few:
Modified OE LT1 Iron Block 385 cu.in. with 2,3 & 4 splayed main caps.
9:1 Compression Ratio
Trick Flow 215cc Heads Massaged by Advanced Induction with stainless 2.08" Intake and 1.6" Exhaust valves. Manley Pacaloy 1220 beehive springs, 1.6 Crower Rockers.
Ai ground cam (114° lobe separation, 232.5 duration, .594 valve lift)
Custom Callies Magnum Crank
Callies Compstar Rods
SRP Pro Pistons.
LT1 intake ported and polished as well with the big AS&M monoblade throttlebody.
As mentioned before, the 24x system incorporated into the engine with TPIS chain cover.
Some GM stuff like lifters & seals.
ARP Hardware
Titan Gerotor Oil Pump

The Turbochargers are Turbonetics T72's (72mm compressor wheel, 68mm turbine wheel, .81 A/R I believe, on T4 flanges.) Built for Nelson...as opposed to the T88'
s they also offer. (Turbos are certainly overkill but I think it'll work) I've got an AMS-2000 boost controller lined out to control the force feeding.

Headers will be custom built with the help of an excellent fabricator friend as well as the mockup kit that stainlessheaders.com offers...although I don't recommend that option unless you have a project with lots of room for piping.

wow, that's an awesome build!!!

What are you doing for fuel delivery? How much power are you expecting to make?

Are those pistons 4032 or 2618 alloy? how far down is the top ring?

Excellent Questions!

I've got dual Walbro 340's in the tank....

I'm not shooting for any specific horsepower numbers other than more than stock...

And the pistons (though they could change due to boost limits supposedly around the 17 psi mark) are the standard SRP Pro 4032 silicon aluminum alloy and the top land is 223 Thousandths....almost a quarter inch.

Picked up this Treadstone Intercooler with 2.5" inlets and A 3" outlet.
Hacked up one of the factory cross braces for the core support and mashed the ends and slotted some holes to look like the OE braces.
Welded some brackets to the Intercooler and mounted it up...this may not be the final configuration but its the best I could figure out.
Gonna need to keep airflow in mind before the project is complete.

I attempted to learn and perfect TIG welding aluminum...I've failed so far...so I invested in a spool gun for my MIG welder. Much easier!

Not sure how to link the posts but I've already relocated the A/C accumulator and ABS Motor for this project....among other things to come.

Also handed down the 2.5" CIA exhaust for replacement by this 3" stuff from the same guy...Spintech Sportsman XL mufflers.

Once I get everything where I want it, I'll TIG as much of it together as possible and replace those ball sockets with V-Band Couplings. (I can manage to TIG stainless luckily)

Roughly where the turbos will rest. Still deciding on downpipe routing.

Got the "Almost Final" Resting place for the turbos figured out....thinking about routing the downpipes under the fender wells as you can see...this is so I wont have to relocate or delete stuff under the hood...I hate to move stuff. Also the Passenger side turbo needs to be tweaked...it has a slight lean to it.

Also I ditched the dual 2.5" in X 3" out Intercooler for a 3" in X 3" out unit.

The idea was to have custom hydro-formed exhaust tubing that matched the profile of the fender well....but that planned has changed...I'll be routing the downpipes up along the fender wells, then down between header piping.
