True. I saw a little price break for their Labor Day sale and wanted to support a business who cater to B-body owners. I've bought from them a grill insert about 5 years ago without issue. Even got a nice price break on that custom piece too. The description read that the shocks are designed for lowered applications which mine is. Thought I'd try something new besides the StreetShocks that are in there now and have lost their cush. Their brake pads are reasonably priced as compared to Rock Auto. I'm actually surprised they'd screw a customer for $1300. Doesn't make sense. I wonder why.
I have purchased several items from ST and did not have any problems. I always dealt with Rachel and she was always upfront when there was a small delay.
Maybe they are having a problem right now with their vendors, but give them a call and speak with Rachel.
…..Was it a 'special order' and you're just on lifetime backorder? They claim delivery but stolen from your porch? Delivered to wrong address they claim you told them? "Fell off the truck" but listed as delivered?.....
Ordered door panels and headlight assemblies. Nowhere did they state on their site or on the invoice 'subject to availability' or 'that it would take months for delivery. Whenever I called, Rachel would state something like; 'we'll check on the status and will call you back'.
As for trying to claim shipped but not delivered. That's a horrible excuse that even street trends wouldn't have the gall to use. I mean.....every shipping company has a tracking number system. Unless someone wants to bare their a$s to the wind to supply cover for street trends (not likely), then those excuses won't float.

On my last two purchases, Rachel gave me the old California 2-Step. I honestly had a better 'feeling' dealing with Brandi. But no.....no more street trends for me.

Yes agree pretty ballsie, but I'm going years back when stuff (especially little orders) commonly got shipped USPS. Before they entered this century a few years ago with better tracking, anything that got "lost" you were pretty much SOOL unless paying for Insured, Registered, Certified, Return Receipt Requested.....
Otherwise I'm with sonuvah, "Doesn't make sense. I wonder why."
Hey you should get a kick outta this. I got retroactively charged for "storage" by the shop's owner during the time they were repairing my boat! He (the owner) had never been involved in the order from the start and I had let the service manager know (who I had been working with quite well long distance) that my repair was not the highest priority during his heavy summer season (since I was overseas). I got hit with this surprise 'storage' on my first bill for the 2 months they spent rounding up parts, and then for the 3 months to complete repairs. I asked the owner how he figured that was either ethical or even logical. His response, "Well you try to run a business with payroll, and property and all the expenses....." And this is a fella who is well-known in business and community in the region. Realizing he had my boat and I got nothin' against that kind of nonsense, I just paid the bill didn't I. We all just need to keep in mind that ethics and honesty are apparently "situational" concepts for business owners just like anyone else..
I hope recounting all that makes you feel better. It was for more than you're talking, but ended up being a very valuable lesson for me, especially amortized over the last 8 years. And I ain't even got that boat no more. haha
I guess my main ?? in all of this is "where the hell has Street trends been?" They are an active member here as far as I know and why have they remained so silent on this issue. would love to hear what they have to say in all of this.
