Im stumped as far as trans problems go, all i know is to check the EMI fuse in the underhood fusebox. If it was blowed though, you would have a CEL whenever the car is running.
Dang, that sucks. First off, one of the more common wiring clusters that get grounded is the O2 sensor wiring, touching the exhaust. If its not that, then it could to be one of the wires going to one of the sensors that the EMI fuse powers.
