This morning on my way to work, I was cruising through the neighborhood and I hit a puddle of water. My car shut off immediately after that. I tried starting it several times but it would start. It would turnover just fine but wouldn't start. I waited for about 10-15 min and tried it again and it started up. What could have caused this to happen? Wet optispark maybe? Or ignition coil?

Wet opti is more likely than a wet coil.

What year is your car?

Did anything else unusual happen when it cut off?
I'd def say check connections to the Opti.

I have a 95 caprice. Nothing unusual happen other than it just died on me. Its been fine other than the issue this morning. I need to replace to the egr but that would cause this issue though.
