Everyone seems to be really against those kits, but some people also make them work.
From what I've heard, the manifolds are really thin and can break.

Cheap headers that don't even fit the car, cheap turbos that aren't even well spec'ed for the application, "universal" piping that you'll need to fab anyways, etc...

You'll have to redo EVERYTHING because is either poor quality, doesn't fit or wrong for the application.

"Cheap" turbo kits do not exist for our cars. Custom fabrication is the ONLY solution and that isn't cheap.

You know, maybe those cheap import ebay turbo systems aren't the best, but for the price, if nothing else consider it education for someone trying to learn turbocharging.

For a little money, and a lot of blood and sweat and tears, you can get one on your vehicle, and run it for a bit. If nothing else, it will be a decent way to learn some skills, and learn some stuff, and drive it for a while, while deciding on a more expensive kit.

Thats my take on it.
Is a 1000$ turbo kit as good as a 10,000$ one? probably not.

I have had $5000 turbo kits that i sunk $$$ in all the time... I have had $1200-$1500 turbo kits that i also sunk $$$ in. Faster and faster cost $$$. I think these cheap turbo kits might work better as a rear mount kit without using the cheap headers.
