I am posting this for a friend of mine. He has a 94 Fleetwood. The check engine light came on couple days ago. The light doesn't stay on all the time. Come on only after driving 10/15 minutes. I hooked up my OBD1 scan tool with ABS and the light wont flash. The cooling fans turn on and thats it. Normally the check light is supposed to flash after plugging in the scanner. I also tried to jump the terminal with a paper clip and only the cooling fans came on.

Can someone please tell me why the check engine light is not flashing.

The 94 OBD I does not work like the 91-93. You have to have the diagnostic tool. The light does not flash. Autozone will pull codes for you for free.

Thanks for the info. Gonna stop by AutoZone later today and get them to check it.

Found out AutoZone does not diagnose check engine light in California. Guy told me to drive to Nevada. Yea Right Buddy!

well, Caddy can show codes on climate panel. No need for scan tool.
