Good day everyone, I search the threads for any ideas or advice that one might have on the subject matter but don't see anything.... Was curious if there's a successful method on restoring the black vinyl portions of the chrome window trim? It seems you can easily make it worse if you use the wrong product. There's always paint but that's last the resort, being that I've done it before & want avoid it. Thanks guys

to the left is the original & got hit with polish accidentally, to the right I had to preform a whole paint job with body filler Etc.

I know Impala guys have been using electrical tape to black out the chrome for a long time. I'm sure you could do the same with the vinyl portion.

My advice would be to buy the high-heat stuff so it resists the sun a bit better. Is it called Super 33? Something like that.
